HEADER PANEL ARMOR | XJ 84-01 | MJ 86-92
Header panel armor? Whats that? Well necessity is the mother of invention. We love stubby bumpers but the toll they can do to the header panel can be destructive and expensive. We know we can use our bumper wings to help with this but then it is not a stubby bumper any more. So we invented a new product for the wheeling community. Header panel armor. So if you look at the pictures you should be able to see exactly what we have done. It mounts to the original bumper mounting holes (3 per side) so install could not be easier. As a bonus this SHOULD be able to fit with other manufactures bumpers. But why would you want that? Our bumpers are better. But this will also work for the DIYers our there. Clears 40’s in our testing. Made to be as invisible as possible but also structurally sound. But like anything If you push hard enough you can destroy anything. This will help, while still keeping with the minimalist thyme of the stubby bumper. Comes in bare steel but can be order in a powder coated satin black.
HOW HEADER PANEL ARMOR IS MADE AT ARES
Our header panel armor start off as a piece of 3/16″ hot rolled steel, pickled in oil plate. These are then laser cut on a CNC Laser cutting machine. Why laser instead of plasma? Fit and finish! Laser cutting is a far superior machine for cutting metal. Cut quality is second to none.
After the laser, we press form the facets with a CNC 300 ton press. Next it is sent over to our welding department where one of our AWS certified welders MIG weld these in a precision made jig. This insures that our first and last part come out the exact same.
This is when we perform a final inspection. Once it passes, our shipping department places all of the associated parts and hardware in boxes to ship out.
Check out our powder coating satin black option for a great savings and durable finish. Please allow an additional 5 to 10 business days on top of the build times if apricable.
